ISLAMABAD: As many as 125 anti-encroachment operations were undertaken by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in the capital during July.
This was disclosed during a meeting to review the drives at the CDA headquarters on Friday. Islamabad Mayor and CDA Chairman Sheikh Anser Aziz said that the civic agencies are undertaking all efforts to restore natural grace of the city.
The anti-encroachment drive, he said, would continue till the complete elimination of encroachment from the city. Expressing satisfaction over the results of the anti-encroachment drive, the mayor asked the director enforcement to further accelerate the pace of the drive. He further emphasized on coordinated and collaborated efforts for complete eradication of encroachment from the city.
The mayor also asked members of the business community, particularly trade unions, to cooperate with the CDA and the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation in the anti-encroachment drive.
The director enforcement told the mayor that the anti-encroachment operations were being conducted all over the city without any discrimination. He added that the momentum of the drive had been increased.
