ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Thursday that the people of Parachinar had suffered the most due to terrorism. “Terrorists have targeted innocent men, women and children of Parachinar. The PPP is with them in their grief and sorrow,” he said, while talking to PPP Parachinar leader Kalb-e-Abbas who called on him at the Zardari House in Islamabad on Thursday.
Abbas informed him of the situation in Parachinar. The PPP chairman instructed Kalb-e-Abbas to convey the PPP leadership’s message to the people of Parachinar that the party was with them and would eliminate the ideology of hate and terror.
A delegation of office bearers of PPP Rawalpindi city, Rawalpindi Cantonment and Rawalpindi district also called on Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. PPP President Central Punjab Qamar Zaman Kaira and Information Secretary PPP Chaudhry Manzoor were also present on the occasion.
Talking to the delegation, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that no one would be allowed to rig the next elections and asked them to prepare for the next elections. He said that PPP manifesto was to work for the people of Pakistan.
“The PPP provides jobs to the people when in power, which is in fact fulfillment of its promise of Roti, Kapra aur Makan. PPP is a force of poor people from Gilgit to Karachi and represents everyone including women, youth, laborers, students, farmers and minorities,” he said.
The delegation comprised Chaudhry Zaheer, Raja Mansoor, Raja Nazir, Akhtar Shah, Malik Nayyar Nadim, Tauqeer Abbasi, Muhammad Shahid, Shahid Satti, Shahid Bashir, Raja Noor Ilahi, Babar Sultan Jadoon, Jamil Qureshi, Malik Asim Akbar, Sardar Quddus, Agha Saqib Riaz, Raja Irfan Haider, Faisal Shah, Zulfikar Ahsan, Chaudhry Zulfikar, Nasir Mir, Zeeshan Mehdi, Banaras Chaudhry, Nasir Kazmi, Ayaz Pappoo, Malik Ayub, Raja Yaqoob, Ali Minhas, Rana Shaukat, Malik Zaheer, Haji Abdul Jabbar, Wajahat Ali Khan Advocate, Shahzad Mir, Anjum Ali Advocate, Mian Abdur Rashid, Malik Qasim, Idrees Advocate, Imran Butt, Shaikh Saqib Naeem, Hasnain Ashraf, Ahsan Mehboob, Raja Tariq and Shafiq Jadoon.
Former KP governor Masood Kausar, KPK PPP President Himayun Khan, KPK General Secretary PPP Faisal Karim Kundi, Irfan Hoti, Nighat Aurakzai and former MNA from Rahimyar Khan Javed Waraich also called on Bilawal.
Bilawal also visited the residence of Faisal Mumtaz Rathore and condoled with him over death of his mother. PPP Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhri also accompanied Bilawal Bhutto.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the human and material loss during the torrential rains in Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and FATA and urged for immediate relief to avert preventable disaster and tragedies.
“Heavy rains have ravaged several areas of Punjab like Lahore, Sargodha, Sialkot, Pakpattan, Lala Musa and parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and FATA. Cities have been inundated with rain water, while the rural areas are under threat of flooding,” the PPP chairman said.
Separately, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has appointed Malik Nawab Sher Waseer as member Central Executive Committee and Asim Mehmood as PPP Punjab finance secretary with immediate effect. Notifications in this regard were issued from the Chairman’s Secretariat by his Political Secretary Jameel Soomro.
