LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has welcomed the formation of a committee by the JUI-F to strive for the alliance of the religious parties.
Addressing different gatherings in the city he said that the religious parties would have to forget the past mistakes and bitterness and join hands to face the present day challenges. He said that the unity of the religious parties was inevitable for the protection of the country’s ideological borders and to check corruption.
He said that the responsibility for the situation on the Pak-Afghan border lay with the puppet regime in Kabul and the US-India collusion and the Pak army was justified in its response to the unprovoked firing from Afghan side. He hoped that the Kabul rulers would see reason and refuse to toe the US-India line.
