LAHORE: Pakistani cricket legend Shahid Afridi on Tuesday took to his Twitter account to condemn the death of over 20 in Occupied-Kashmir at the hands of the Indian forces.
“Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination and independence,” Afridi said in a Tweet.

Afridi’s words of solidarity were slammed by Indians on Twitter and the Pakistani star was subjected to curses and derogatory remarks by users from across the border.
In addition to the insulting remarks from commoners, former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir also lashed out at Afridi for his message. He said that “Afridi is celebrating dismissal off a no-ball”.
Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. What’s there to say? Afridi is only looking for @UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, @SAfridiOfficial is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!
