Trailblazing alumni Hamza Farrukh after graduating from the prestigious Williams College clinched a coveted position with the fortune 500 company Goldman Sachs. After excelling academically and professionally in the true spirit of IVY alumni, he is committed towards creating sustainable social impact through his award winning project, ‘Bondh-e-Shams’ is a revolutionary project that won the Davis Peace Prize and is geared towards tackling the mammoth problem of water scarcity in the rural areas of Pakistan. The project deploys innovative mechanics with solar panels and has introduced the first of its kind affordable and green solution to provide sustainable solution for water scarcity in rural areas of Pakistan. The auditorium of Roots IVY Riverview Campus was jam-packed with enthusiastic IVIANS who endeavor to emulate the trail blazing alumni. The ceremony commenced with the welcome note by Dr Khadija Mushtaq where she reminisced over the fact that there was no greater joy than witnessing the academic and professional achievements of students. “The IVY League of dreamers that I have nurtured over the course of past two decades has always exceeded my expectation. Roots IVY students have realized their ambitions and our alumni are currently employed in the Silicon Valley, fortune 500 companies, World Bank, Google headquarters and prestigious organizations across the world.
