DADU: Five members of a family of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar devotees were killed and four other relatives were critical injured after collision between Rickshaw and Mazda at Village Sono Khan Rind near Lucky Shah Saddar Indus Highway on Sunday.
The incident took place when speedy Rickshaw coming from Jamli village to Sehawn shrine and Mazada going from Sehwan to Karachi collided as a result of the accident five devotees died on the spot and their four relatives were sustain critical injuries.
After the receiving information area SHO Liaquat Ali Qumbar shifted the bodies and injured in police van to LUHMS hospital Jamshoro.
According to The police deceased and injured belong to Muslim Shaikh Community and residents of Jamali Village of Karachi city.
SHO said that the victims were going to Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine when the incident took place. The deceased were identified as Nisar 36, head of the family, his wife Salma, 2 year old, son Ghazi, relative Mariam and Ahmed Shaikh.
The injured were identified as 10 year old Ali Abbas, 8 year old Hamzoo, 7 year old Jannat and 3 year old Mah Noor Shaikh.
SHO said that the police impounded Mazda 2966 JY and its conductor, Ali Hyder, was arrested. However, the driver of Mazda managed to escape from the spot.
After the medico legal formalities bodies were sent to their native village.
