PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Monday unanimously passed a resolution calling for the implementation of death sentence to Kulbhushan Jadav, an Indian spy, as awarded by Military Court.
The resolution was moved by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami-F (JUI-F) leader Mufti Said Janan and signed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Minister Shah Farman, Jamat Islami’s (JI) Muhammad Ali, Awami National Party (ANP) Syed Jafar Shah, Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Meraj Humayoon, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member Amna Sardar of and QWP’s Bakht Bedar.
The resolution read as Kulbhushan Jadhav was the agent of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and was involved in subversive activities in Pakistan and had admitted his crimes before the interrogation team.
He was caught red-handed by Pakistani intelligence agencies on charges of spying.
Kulbhushan Jadhav was given death sentence by the court.
Therefore, the KP assembly demanded of the provincial government to recommend to the federal government to implement the death sentence on the Indian spy in accordance with the Pakistani laws, so that in future no country or an individual could resort to such a shameful, unforgivable and unbearable act.
