RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force seized narcotics weighing 4.38 tonnes worth Rs 841 million in 16 operations across the country.
During these operations, ANF also arrested 19 people, including a woman involved in drug smuggling and impounded 4 vehicles.
ANF Quetta in Chagai seized 4.35 tonnes of morphine. ANF raided a desolate site at Killi Brabcha and seized 4350 Kg of morphine. Drugs were stuffed in plastic bags. As per preliminary reports, the drug was stocked for handing over to another narcotics gang for onward dispatch to some unidentified location.
ANF Rawalpindi on pursuance of information intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car near Burhan Interchange, GT Road, Attock. Search of the car led to seizure of 6 Kg hashish which was concealed in secret cavities of the car.
Two persons on board identified as Farhad Khan and Shakeel Ahmed both residents of Peshawar were also apprehended during the operation. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car near Abbottabad Mor, GT Road, Attock and recovered 5 Kg Hashish during search of the vehicle. Hashish was concealed in oil tank of the car.
A person on board identified as Muhammad Tariq, resident of Khyber Agency, was also arrested on the spot. Yet in another operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 4 Kg hashish by arresting two drug carriers including namely Muhammad Liaqat and Bilal both residents of Attock.
They were arrested near Abbottabad Mor, GT Road, Attock.
