SRINAGAR: All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the harassment of three Kashmiri students by police in Indian Punjab.
According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that despite assurances from Indian authorities there seemed no let up in the intimidation and harassment of Kashmiri students pursuing studies in India.
“India is not a safe place for Kashmiri students. They are suspected everywhere and beleaguered simply because of their Kashmiri origin,” he said.
Referring to the statement of Home Minister of India, Rajnath Singh in which he had directed the Indian states to provide sufficient security to the Kashmiri students, the APHC spokesman said that it was just to cover up their wrongdoings and mislead the international community.
“The advisory issued to Indian states has proved a mere hoax and Punjab incident vindicates and elucidates that situation remains unchanged,” he added.
