SUKKUR: Law enforcer along with hundreds of FC and Rangers personnel encircled the Central Jail, Sukkur in late hours of Friday to conduct a search operation and confiscated drugs, , mobile phones, memory cards and letters from prisoners’ possession.
According to detail, acting on a tip off, security personnel’s surrounded the Central Jail vicinity to conduct a search and clearance operation. Police had received information that inmates belonging with banned outfits at the prison were in possession of, drugs, cell phones and other items prohibited to use inside the jail.
Police, FC and Rangers jointly conducted the raid and recovered a large quantity of, mobile phones and other contraband items from the inmates.
Sources also revealed that the barracks of more than 40 inmates, belonging to banned outfits were searched painstakingly during the operation.
