LAHORE: Justice Shahid Hameed Dar on Monday took oath as acting chief justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC). LHC Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali administered oath to the acting chief justice.
LHC judges, including Justice Muhammad Anwaarul Haq, Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Ahmad Khan, Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh, Justice Muhammad Farrukh Irfan Khan, LHC officer, senior lawyers and provincial and federal law officers attended the ceremony. Earlier, LHC Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah along with six other judges proceeded on an official visit to Hungary to participate in an International Judicial Summit being held in Budapest from August 30 to September 1. The topics under discussion in the three-day workshop include case management challenges, judicial administration and court wise management, change management, court information technology, bench-bar relationship and judicial education and staff training. This is second part of the summit. The first part of the summit was held last year in Prague.
